Selecting a Major

There are various steps you can take when deciding what you'd like to pursue for the rest of your life.  Remember it's OK to change your mind.  Please consider the following when selecting a major/career.

 

  • Recognize your strengths and weaknesses
  • Analyze your interests and values
  • Talk with family, friends, teachers and counselor
  • Decide what you enjoy doing
  • Figure out what type of person you are and pick a major/career that compliments YOU.
  • Research various careers and colleges
  • Job Shadow/Volunteer/Intern
  • Visit Seton's College and Career Center
