It always begins with The Research Process

Download a research notebook to keep organized.

S -- State the task.  If you can put it in your own words, chances are good that you understand it.  Unclear?  Be sure to ask

A - Ask the essential questions.  What information do you need? and how will you use it?

I -- Identify and select the appropriate resources.  Plan an efficient search strategy.  Use the resources to the right as your trusted beginning sources.

N
-- Navigate and take notes.  Read carefully and note the pertinent information.  Be sure to include all the information you will need to properly cite the source in your finished product.

T -- Tie it all together.  What does all this information mean? How can you effectively share your new knowledge with an audience?  Choose your options carefully and thoughtfully.

S -- Survey your results.  Did the audience understand?  Are you satisfied with the work?  What questions do you have now?  How would you do things differently in the future?  Record your reflections to share and for future use.
