One of the "best in the West" is Seton senior soccer star Ellie Flower, an all-star forward/midfielder and a four-year varsity player for the Saints. She is a two-year team captain and in 2020 will be taking her game to the next level on the pitch at the University of Cincinnati.
This season, Ellie led the GGCL in goals (18), assists (12) and total points (48). The Saints finished 14-4-2 and were GGCL runners-up, district champions and regional semifinalists.
Ellie had numerous multi-goal games this season. She had three hat trick games, scoring three goals (and an assist) vs. Turpin, three goals vs. Ursuline Academy and three goals in a 4-0 sectional semifinal win vs. Mercy McAuley. She also scored two goals vs. Fenwick and Lakota West.
Ellie's accomplishments have netted her many honors. She was named for the second straight year 1st team all-GGCL and 1st team all-city. She also made the all-state team and was selected to play in the Senior All-Star Game. Ellie also plays for the Total Futbol Academy.
A good student who is active in community service, Ellie also competed in track & field her freshman year. She is a Student Ambassador and a House Government leader, plus a member of the Athletic Ministry, Athletic Leadership Conference and Saints for Life Club, plus numerous other organizations.
Her favorite athlete is Julie Ertz, favorite entertainer is Steve Carell, favorite book is The Kite Runner, favorite movie is The Sandlot and most-like-to-meet is Cristiano Ronaldo.
