Daily Announcements

Today is a 3-bell day with a 1:45 assembly/dismissal.  Please see Mrs. Rowland’s email from yesterday for directions if you have an assembly commitment.  The rest of the week:  4 – 3 – 4, with an extended mentor group – 7. 

Congratulations to the students who found the turkey ducks on our last Friday!  Watch for information about our very own Sally elf!  She’ll be making her return from the North Pole soon!

We have no birthdays today, but happy half birthday to:  Mrs. Arnold and Ally Kelly on May 30 and to Bailey Broxterman and Emma Herms on May 31!

For those of you who have birthdays in December or June, you should be receiving your cookie coupons in mentor group some time this week!



Today is a 4-bell day

Varsity Bowling begins GGCL play today against Ursuline at Crossgate Lanes at 4:00.

All three basketball teams travel tonight to take on the Mercy McAuley Wolves!! JVB game starts at 4:30 with JV and Varsity following at 6 and 7:30. All the games will be available to stream on Seton’s YouTube channel,  where you can watch all of this season’s games!

There will be a Campus Ministry meeting after school on Thursday.  Please see the email from Abby Kock and sign up if you think you will be attending so we can plan for a location.

For those students who earned a free day from the walk, free days may be taken beginning in second semester.  You will receive a copy of the free day form from MR when we come back from Christmas break.

Mentor Captains:  Please be sure that your Thanksgiving meals are taken to the cafeteria as soon as you get them together this morning.  There will be members of Seton Helping Saints in and outside of the Halo Café to direct you!

Everyone be sure to bring markers tomorrow for our Thanksgiving activity!

Are you ready for Thanksgiving lunch?  Tomorrow in the cafeteria, you can enjoy turkey and all the sides for only $6.25.  Please remember that no other food items will be for sale.


Cedar Spiritwear is being sold this week, today through Friday  from 7:15-7:45 in the commons by the gym. Sweatshirts will be sold for $14. You must pay when you place  your order. Thank you and Fear the Tree!!

The Elder High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble will be having its first informational session and practice today, November 18th, after school in the Elder Schaeper Center music room until 4 PM. This group is open to any interested Seton and Elder students regardless of music experience. Whether you are interested in learning how to play a new instrument, enjoy making music with friends, or simply enjoy hitting things with sticks, this group may be for you. If you are interested, please contact Mr. Post, Elder High School Percussion Instructor. See Mr. Kohler’s email from yesterday for contact information.

The following girls MUST go to the office and see Mrs. Hughes immediately after announcements:  Shelby Buerger, Lindsay Doherty, Charlotte Ehling, Haylee Hasson, Savannah Matthey, Ava McVey, Sarah Newland, Lydia Rogers, Annaliese Roos, Madeline Westerkamp and Abby Wyatt.  If you have a completed card for Mrs. Haley please bring it with you.

Today is 4 3-bell day with an extended mentor group time for a Thanksgiving activity.

The Bowling Teams kick off their season tonight against Oak Hills at 4:00 at Western Bowl.  We will celebrate our Seniors, Meredith Briggs and Sabra Charles.  Good luck Saints!

Thank you so much to everyone for participating in the Thanksgiving Food Drive! Thanks to your generosity, we collected over 101 FULL packages of meals PLUS extra leftover food that will be donated to families in need. These meals will be given out on Monday to various families, members of our community and St. Vincent de Paul. Way to work together, Saints

And another big reason to say thanks.  This one from senior, Sabra Charles! Thanks to everyone for participating in the Operation Gratitude candy collection this year! We collected 300 lbs of candy! Awesome job! 

Many of you know that we have done this for 4 consecutive years now and I wanted to share with you the overall impact it has had, overall we have collected about 1,460 pounds of candy and combined with monetary donations, this has totaled around $14,000 donated to soldiers and veterans! Thank you for all you have done! It has gone to a valiant cause! 

Thanksgiving lunch will be served in the cafeteria today.  Cost is $6.25.

CALLING ALL CEDAR HOUSE MEMBERS:  Cedar Spiritwear will be sold again tomorrow in the Commons.  Sweatshirts are $14 and you must pay at the time you place your order.  Tomorrow is the last day to order!  Remember—Fear the Tree!!!

Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Bowling Teams on their victories over Oak Hills! JV claimed the victory by over 300 pins, while the Varsity team came from behind to take the win by 41 pins.

The Basketball Teams tip off their season tomorrow, where they will take on the Wolves at West Clermont starting with JVB at 3:00, followed by JVA at 4:30 and Varsity at 6:00.

There are 22 turkey ducks—the same ones that you saw in mentor group yesterday—hidden around the building today! If you see one, pick it up and bring it to the main office and let Mrs. Doll or Mrs. Hughes know what number you have! There will be a treat for you! Happy Thanksgiving!
